Sepultura – European Farewell Tour

Sepultura is the true super league of metal music. They don’t just have great songs (and they do have plenty), they’re constantly pushing the genre forward. After they had recorded some of the most outstanding thrash/death metal hit songs at the turn of the 1980s/1990s, they moved on to completely redefine groove metal with “Chaos A.D.” and “Roots”. And then “Roots” became one of the most important inspirations for the incipient nu-metal movement.

After forty years of activity, Sepultura have now decided to call it quits. The concert in the Spodek Arena will be one of the last opportunities to see the Brazilian band live. And, as the organisers warn, they will have no mercy. “In these circumstances and with this line-up, you can only expect a truly historic performance”, they insist.
