BEKSIŃSKI.LIVE 2024 - the next edition of a multimedia show inspired by the legacy of Zdzisław Beksiński. After a sold-out 2023 tour, the project does not stop there...

BEKSIŃSKI

In the space of halls and arenas, the paintings by Zdzisław Beksiński are set in motion and passed through the filter of modern technologies. Beksiński is one of the most important representatives of contemporary art in Poland and his visionary work constantly intrigues and inspires subsequent generations of viewers. This Master was a great experimenter, an eternal seeker. This openness translates into the entire concept of Beksiński.Live - a project that weaves together artists, various arts, interpretations and sensitivities.

MUSIC

The event is based on music composed by WASILEWSKI and KAMIL ZAWIŚLAK WISHLAKE, who undertook to translate Beksiński's paintings and the emotions accompanying them into sounds and words. This is how a poetic, impressionistic interpretation of the Master's art was created.

GUESTS

The following special guests join the duo: NOSOWSKA, BŁAŻEJ KRÓL, NATALIA SZROEDER, FISZ and ROGUCKI. The vocalists, inspired by Beksiński's works, represent voices and signposts in this new artistic reality. They perform carefully selected songs from their own repertoire in special arrangements by Michał Wasilewski.

ANIMATIONS / AI

Artificial intelligence and animations prepared by Mariusz Kulma, Kobas Laksa and Adam Nyk and their team also play an important role during the event. Zdzisław Beksiński has always pushed the boundaries of his medium, and now, with the help of AI, the organizers decided to continue this mission, reaching for new means of expression. Using artificial intelligence (AI), it was possible to process Beksiński's works of art, obtaining intriguing, dynamic images that transform into another dimension.

IDEA

The entire pulsating and original form, using various means of expression, different sounds and musical genres, leads viewers through interpretations of human fate in the light of Zdzisław Beksiński's paintings. At the centre of the performance stands a modern man who confronts, among others, with his own destiny, death, fears, dilemmas and creation.

The project is developed in partnership with the Historical Museum in Sanok. Works by Zdzisław Beksiński used in performance and communication - under licence from the Museum.
